Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at relax@winterholme.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Yes, you float within your own private room (so there is no requirement to wear a bathing suit or swim trunks). The room has its own shower and is for your exclusive use for the duration of your session

No. Because the water contains high salt levels it doesn’t rob your skin of salt, (which is what causes wrinkling). Rather, it leaves you skin soft and silky

No, the lights in the room are automatic and the float pod opens up from the inside. Any motion will immediately trigger the lights for you

FloatNL adheres to the most stringent health and safety regulations. The water contains mostly salt so the solution is sterile. We add a limited amount of chemicals of the same kind you would find in a swimming pool to ensure the room is safe and clean. To add to that, we filter the water 3.75 times between each float session

Just an open mind and a tired body! We provide everything else…towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash and a hairdryer. However, you may want to bring a brush or comb for after you get out

Of course! Floating has been proven to relieve much of the stress and discomfort of pregnancy and can offer you and your baby deep relaxation. Of course you should consult with your doctor first

Though many notice results after their first float, some will notice improvements after their second or third float. This gives the body enough time to adjust to the new environment. This is also the reason why we offer three floats in our introduction package

You should not float if you:

  • Have not been shown how to use the float room by a qualified person
  • Have open or bleeding wounds
  • Suffer from incontinence or uncontrolled epilepsy
  • Have been medically advised not to float
  • Have a special or lacquered hairdo which you wish to keep
  • Are not confidant of being able to get out due to lack of personal mobility (if unsure, please request help getting in and out of the float pod)

No need to worry, just follow the same hygiene steps as you would when getting into a swimming pool or a hot tub. But also, we know that everyone is different, and it is always better to listen to your body
